Pen-y-Bont Football Club (Welsh: Clwb Pêl-droed Pen-y-Bont) is a Welsh football club formed in 2013 following the merger of Bridgend Town F.C. and Bryntirion Athletic F.C. and plays in the Cymru Premier. Pen-y-Bont play their home matches at the Kymco Stadium (formerly Bryntirion Park).The club installed 3G artificial turf at Bryntirion Park and the Bridgend College Football Academy in Pencoed.

Union School of Theology is a Reformed Christian educational institution in Bryntirion in Bridgend, South Wales. The School is part of the wider Christian ministry of Union which also involves church planting and the production of theological resources.

Newcastle Castle (Welsh: Y Castell Newydd) is a medieval castle located on Newcastle Hill, Newcastle, overlooking the town centre of Bridgend in Glamorgan, South Wales. It was originally believed to date from 1106 when a ringwork was created at the site by the Norman baron Robert Fitzhamon. Some of the fine stonework survives, but today the castle is ruinous.

Cefn Glas is an area on the northwestern outskirts of the town of Bridgend, Wales. It is part of the community of Laleston.In the 2001 Census, Cefn Glas had a population of 1,742 people, making up 1.35% of Bridgend's total population. This population reduced to 1,537 at the 2011 Census.Ysgol Gyfun Bryntirion (Bryntyrion Comprehensive School) is located on Merlin Crescent.
