Kandawgyi

The Bogyoke Aung San Museum (Burmese: ဗိုလ်ချုပ် အောင်ဆန်း ပြတိုက်), located in Bahan, Yangon, is a museum dedicated to General Aung San, the founder of modern Myanmar (Burma). Established in 1962, the two-story museum was Aung San's last residence before his assassination in July 1947. It is a colonial-era villa, built in 1921, where his daughter Aung San Suu Kyi grew up as a child.

Kandawgyi Lake (Burmese: ကန်တော်ကြီး pronounced [kàndɔ̀dʑí]; literally "great royal lake", formerly Royal Lake), is one of two major lakes in Yangon, Burma (Myanmar). Located east of the Shwedagon Pagoda, the lake is artificial; water from Inya Lake is channelled through a series of pipes to Kandawgyi Lake.

The former High Court Building (Burmese: တရားရုံးချုပ်ဟောင်း) is an iconic colonial-era building located at No. 89/133 Pansodan Street, between Maha Bandula Garden Street and Pansodan Street in Kyauktada Township, downtown Yangon.Until 2006, the Supreme Court of Myanmar was located at this complex.The High Court Building was designed by architect James Ransome, construction of the High Court began in 1905 and was completed in 1911, and is noted for its British Queen Anne style architecture, including its clock tower and its red-bricked exterior.

Kyauktada Township (Burmese: ကျောက်တံတား မြို့နယ် [tɕaʊʔdədá mjo̰nɛ̀]) is the center of downtown Yangon, Myanmar. The township consists of nine wards, and shares borders with Botataung Township in the east, Seikkan Township and Yangon River in the south, Pabedan Township in the west and Mingala Taungnyunt Township in the north.

Basic Education High School (BEHS) No. 6 Botataung (Burmese: အခြေခံ ပညာ အထက်တန်း ကျောင်း အမှတ် (၆) ဗိုလ်တထောင်; abbreviated to အ.ထ.က. (၆) ဗိုလ်တထောင်; commonly known as Botataung 6 High School or St. Paul's High School), located a few miles east of downtown Yangon in Botataung township, is a public high school, and one of the oldest high schools in Myanmar.

The Bogyoke Aung San Stadium (Burmese: ဗိုလ်ချုပ် အောင်ဆန်း အားကစားကွင်း; MLCTS: buil hkyup aung hcan: a: ka. ca: kwang:) is a multi-purpose stadium, located in downtown Yangon, Myanmar. It was built as cricket ground in 1908, completed in 1910 and named as Burma Athletic Association Ground. The 400m runway was constructed in 1935.

The Yangon Ear, Nose and Throat Hospital (Burmese: ရန်ကုန် နား နှာခေါင်း လည်ချောင်း ဆေးရုံ) is a public specialist hospital located in Yangon, Myanmar. The Yangon ENT Hospital was called the Yangon Eye, Ear, Nose and Throat (EENT) Hospital on Alanpya Road. It was moved to the current location in 2000.

The Tun Foundation Bank (Burmese: ထွန်းဖောင်ဒေးရှင်းဘဏ်) is a privately owned bank in Myanmar that was established on 8 June 1994.All the profits from this bank go into scholarships for children from poor families.

The Kandawgyi Palace Hotel was a five-star hotel and historical landmark overlooking the Kandawgyi Lake in Yangon, Myanmar. The hotel caught fire on the morning of Thursday, 19 October 2017 and was destroyed.

Downtown Yangon (also known as the Yangon Central Business District or Yangon CBD; formerly the Cantonment) is the central business district of Yangon, Myanmar, located close to the geographic centre of the metropolitan area. The area features many of the city's major arts institutions and sports facilities.
