Cannon Falls is a city in Goodhue County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 4,083 at the 2010 census. Located along U.S. Route 52 southeast of the Twin Cities, Cannon Falls may be best known as the home of Pachyderm Studio, where many famous musicians have recorded. Nirvana is probably the best-known band to use the site.

It is approximately 30-mile (48 km) southeast of the Twin Cities.The 75-foot (23 m)-high dam was built in 1910 by H.M. Byllesby & Company to impound the Cannon River for hydroelectric power.
