The Park at River Walk (also known as "River Walk Park") is a public park located in Bakersfield, California. The park is 32 acres (130,000 m2), and contains two lakes connected by a stream. It is also the location of the Spectrum Amphitheater (formally known as the Bright House Amphitheater, before the company's corporate restructuring in August 2016), one of two large outdoor theaters in Bakersfield (the other is the Outdoor Theater at Bakersfield College).

Bakersfield Christian High School (BCHS) is a private, college-preparatory, nondenominational Christian school. It is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and the Association of Christian Schools International.

Carrier Canal is an irrigation canal in Kern County, California. It originates from a common diversion at Manor Street in Bakersfield, which also supplies the Kern Island Canal and Eastside Canal. The common diversion originates from the Kern River about 1 mile (1.6 km) south of Gordon's Ferry. There are additional diversions from the Kern River at Golden State Highway (SR 204 freeway) and Coffee Road.
