Bitexco Financial Tower (Vietnamese: Tháp Tài chính Bitexco) is a skyscraper in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. At its completion in 2010, it became the tallest building in Vietnam and kept this status until January 2011, when it was surpassed by Keangnam Hanoi Landmark Tower. With 68 floors above ground and three basements, the building has a height of 262.5 metres (861 ft), making it the second tallest building in the city, fifth tallest in Vietnam, and the 263rd tallest in the world, as of the beginning of 2018.

Independence Palace (Dinh Độc Lập), also known as Reunification Palace (Vietnamese: Dinh Thống Nhất), built on the site of the former Norodom Palace, is a landmark in Saigon, Vietnam. It was designed by architect Ngô Viết Thụ and was the home and workplace of the President of South Vietnam during the Vietnam War.

Bến Thành Market (Vietnamese: Chợ Bến Thành) is a large marketplace in central Hồ Chí Minh City, Vietnam in District 1. The 1962 South Vietnamese Independence Palace bombing in Saigon was an aerial attack on 27 February 1962 by two dissident Republic of Vietnam Air Force pilots, Second Lieutenant Nguyễn Văn Cử and First Lieutenant Phạm Phú Quốc. Công xã Paris Square (Vietnamese: Công trường Công xã Paris) is a small square located in central Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam in District 1, lies between Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica of Saigon and Nguyen Du Street. This is also the starting point of the famous Dong Khoi Street. The square is surrounded by two remarkable architectural works: Notre-Dame Cathedral and Central Post Office.

The Ho Chi Minh City ITC Inferno, one of the deadliest peacetime disasters in Vietnam, was a fire that occurred on October 29, 2002, at the International Trade Centre in Ho Chi Minh City, the commercial center of the country. Ho Chi Minh City Open University (Vietnamese: Đại học Mở Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh) is a public university located in District 3, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. This is the first open university in Vietnam. The university was initially Ho Chi Minh City Open and Semi-Private University established in June 15, 1990, then it obtained the present name on June 26, 2006.
