Polpis (also Milton Poadpis or Podpis) is a village in Nantucket, Massachusetts, United States. Its elevation is 7 feet (2 m). The different spellings of its name led the Board on Geographic Names to designate its official spelling in 1900. The community lies 3.5 miles (5.5 km) northwest of Siasconset.

The Nantucket Beacon formed a range with the Brant Point Light to guide vessels into Nantucket harbor. Operated at various times in the 19th century, it was deactivated sometime after 1870. This range was eventually succeeded by the Nantucket Harbor Range Lights, which are still in operation.

Siasconset is a census designated place (CDP) at the eastern end of Nantucket island, Massachusetts, United States with an elevation of 52 feet (16 m), and a population of 205 at the 2010 census. Although unincorporated, the village has a post office, with the ZIP code 02564.The various spellings of its name, 'Sconset, Sconset, Seconset, Siasconsett, or Sweseckechi led the Board on Geographic Names to designate its official spelling in 1892.

The Sankaty Head Light is a lighthouse located on Nantucket island. It was built in 1850, was automated in 1965, and is still in operation. It is located at the easternmost point of the island, in the village of Siasconset. It was one of the first lighthouses in the United States to receive a Fresnel lens.
