Münster Promenade

The Province of Westphalia (German: Provinz Westfalen) was a province of the Kingdom of Prussia and the Free State of Prussia from 1815 to 1946.

1(GE/NL)Corps is a multinational formation consisting of units from both the Royal Netherlands Army and German Army. The corps' headquarters also takes part in NATO Response Force readiness rotations. It is situated in Münster (Northrhine Westphalia), formerly the headquarters of the German Army's I.

On 7 April 2018, a man drove a van into people seated outside restaurants in a pedestrianised square in the old part of the German city of Münster. He killed two people and injured about 20 others, 6 seriously. Another victim died on 26 April. A Dutch victim who was in a coma after the attack died almost 4 months later on 29 July 2018.

Schloss Münster, officially Fürstbischöfliches Schloss Münster, is the schloss built as the residence if the duke-bishop of Münster, Germany. It was built between 1767 and 1787 in baroque style as a mansion for the last but one prince-bishop Maximilian Friedrich von Königsegg-Rothenfels. The architect was Johann Conrad Schlaun.

The Institute for New Testament Textual Research (German: Institut für neutestamentliche Textforschung — INTF) at the University of Münster, Westphalia, Germany, is to research the textual history of the New Testament and to reconstruct its Greek initial text on the basis of the entire manuscript tradition, the early translations and patristic citations; furthermore the preparation of an Editio Critica Maior based on the entire tradition of the New Testament in Greek manuscripts, early versions and New Testament quotations in ancient Christian literature.

Gymnasium Paulinum is a Gymnasium (secondary) school in Münster, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It was founded in around 797 and is claimed to be the oldest school in Germany.

The Historical City Hall of Münster was one of the theatres of the negotiations of the Peace of Westphalia which concluded the Thirty Years' War in Europe and the Eighty Years' War between Spain and the Republic of the Seven United Netherlands. It was the site of the Peace of Münster of 1648.Located in the centre of Prinzipalmarkt, it is the city's predominant landmark - besides Münster Cathedral.

The Gau Westphalia-North (German: Gau Westfalen-Nord) was an administrative division of Nazi Germany encompassing the Free State of Lippe, Free State of Schaumburg-Lippe and the northern half of the Prussian province of Westphalia between 1933 and 1945. From 1926 to 1933, it was the regional subdivision of the Nazi Party for these areas.

The Bible Museum is part of the Institute for New Testament Textual Research at the University of Münster/Germany and was founded in 1979 by Kurt Aland.It tells the story of the Bible - of their handwritten beginnings until today. The main focus lays on the tradition of Greek New Testament as well as the German Bible.

The Münster tramway network (German: Straßenbahnnetz Münster) once formed part of the public transport system in Münster, now in the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Opened in 1901, the network lasted until 1954.
