Chandigarh (local pronunciation: [tʃə̃ˈɖiːɡəɽʱ] (listen)) is a city and a union territory in India that serves as the capital of the two neighbouring states of Punjab and Haryana. The city is unique as it is not a part of either of the two states but is governed directly by the Union Government, which administers all such territories in the country.

The Chandigarh Hockey Stadium is a field hockey stadium at Chandigarh, Punjab, India. It was the home of the Chandigarh Dynamos of the Premier Hockey League. It has a seating capacity of 30,000 people.Important tournaments held here includes Indira Gandhi International Gold Cup, Asian School Hockey, National School Games Twice, All India Women Festival, Indo-Uzabekistak 1977, Indo Pan American Hockey 1995, All India Hockey Tournaments and Punjab Gold Cup.

Garden of palms is a theme based garden located in Sector 42 in the city of Chandigarh. Built at a cost of Rs. 5 crore, the garden boosts of 21 different varieties of palm trees.The Garden of Palm in Chandigarh has been developed on an area of 19.50 acres. It has rivulets, benches, huts, cycling track and eating joints.

The Shivalik Public School (SPS) is an English-medium, private, co-educational residential-cum-day school located in Sector 56, Mohali, India and has three other subsidiaries in Chandigarh, Patiala, and Nawanshahr. The Sector 16 Stadium is a cricket stadium in Chandigarh, Punjab, India.It hosted its first ODI match in January 1985 and its only Test match in 1990.It has hosted only four matches. The likes of Kapil Dev, Chetan Sharma and Yograj Singh started playing cricket at the Sector 16 Stadium. It fell out of favour to the nearby Punjab Cricket Association Stadium, (Mohali) cricket ground.
