Taichung (; Mandarin Chinese: [tʰǎiʈʂʊ́ŋ]; Hokkien POJ: Tâi-tiong; Hakka PFS: Thòi-chûng, literally "middle of Taiwan"), officially known as Taichung City, is a special municipality located in central Taiwan. Taichung has a population of approximately 2.81 million people and is Taiwan's second most populous city, overtaking Kaohsiung in July 2017.

The National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts (NTMoFA; Chinese: 國立臺灣美術館; pinyin: Guólì Táiwān Měishùguǎn) is a museum in West District, Taichung, Taiwan. NTMoFA was established in 1988, is the first and the only national-grade fine arts museum in Taiwan. The major collections are works by Taiwanese artists, covering modern and contemporary Taiwanese arts.

West District (Chinese: 西區; pinyin: Xi Qū) is a district of Taichung, Taiwan. It is the second smallest district in Taichung City after Central District. Former Taichung City Hall and part of Taichung City Government offices are located in this district.

The Hotel National Taichung (Chinese: 全國大飯店; pinyin: Quánguó Dàfàndiàn) is a hotel in West District, Taichung, Taiwan. It is Taichung's first five-star hotel, founded in 1980, the central one of the famous hotel, located in Chungkang Road, the tight Pro with Luyuan Road, National Museum of Natural Science and SOGO Department Store.

The Shr-Hwa International Tower (Chinese: 世華國際大樓; pinyin: Shìhuá Guójì Dàlóu) is a skyscraper located in West District, Taichung, Taiwan. It is the sixth tallest building in Taiwan and the tallest in central Taiwan. This building has a peculiar shape of a bamboo.
