Minsk (Belarusian: Мінск, pronounced [mʲinsk]; Russian: Минск, Polish: Mińsk) is the capital and largest city of Belarus, situated on the Svislač and the Nyamiha Rivers. As the national capital, Minsk has a special administrative status in Belarus and is the administrative centre of Minsk Region (voblasć) and Minsk District (rajon).

Minsk Sports Palace is an indoor sports arena, located in Minsk, Belarus. The arena seats 4,842 spectators and opened in May 1966. It hosts various indoor events and used to serve as the home of HC Dynamo Minsk, of the Kontinental Hockey League, before Minsk-Arena was completed. Nyamiha (Belarusian: Няміга) is a Minsk Metro station. The station opened on December 31, 1990. It is located by the Nyamiha Street, both being named after the Niamiha River. In 1999 it was the site of the Nyamiha stampede, in which 53 people were crushed to death.

Yanka Kupala Park is a park in Minsk, Belarus located along Svislach river. This park is named after Yanka Kupala, one of the classics of Belarusian literature of early 20th century.Before World War II at this place there was the house of poet Yanka Kupala. In 1959 the Yanka Kupala's museum near the park was constructed that has at its disposal a big collection of autographs, photos, documents and poet's personal belongings.

St. Joseph Church is a former Roman Catholic church in Minsk, Belarus. The building, which is an example of the Baroque architecture style, was completed in 1752. The church was named after the monastery to which it belonged. It was closed in the 1860s and became an Orthodox Church. Since the late 19th century, it has been used to store archives.
