North Frederick

Fort Detrick is a United States Army Medical Command installation located in Frederick, Maryland. Historically, Fort Detrick was the center of the U.S. biological weapons program from 1943 to 1969. Since the discontinuation of that program, it has hosted most elements of the United States biological defense program.

Frederick High School (FHS) is a four-year public high school in Frederick, Maryland, Frederick County, Maryland, United States. A National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence, Frederick High is the oldest school in Frederick County, the school's diverse population reflects its surrounding dynamic community.

The Frederick Armory is one of a series of similar armories built for the Maryland National Guard in the early 20th century. The James K.P. Wolfe House is a historic home in Frederick, Maryland. It is a two-story, frame, single hall plan, Victorian period farmhouse with Gothic Revival-style detailing. It is a late-19th century example of the Maryland Piedmont farmhouse. The dwelling was built in 1889 by the Wolfe family, who owned the property until 1936.

The John C. Motter House is a Queen Anne style house built circa 1880, located in Frederick, Maryland. The 3½ story house features beveled corners with brick corbels. The house was built in what was then a rural area beyond the north end of Frederick. The house is associated with Judge John C. Motter of the Maryland Sixth Judicial Circuit Court, who resided there from the 1880s to 1914.

Schifferstadt, Also known as Scheifferstadt, is the oldest standing house in Frederick, Maryland. Built in 1758, it is one of the nation's finest examples of German-Georgian colonial architecture. It was designated a National Historic Landmark in 2016.

Frederick Memorial Hospital is the only hospital in Frederick County, Maryland. It is located in the city of Frederick.

Rose Hill Manor, now known as Rose Hill Manor Park & Children's Museum, is a historic home located at Frederick, Frederick County, Maryland. It is a ​2 1⁄2-story brick house. A notable feature is the large two-story pedimented portico supported by fluted Doric columns on the first floor and Ionic columns on the balustraded second floor.

The U.S. Army Biological Warfare Laboratories (USBWL) were a suite of research laboratories and pilot plant centers operating at Camp (later Fort) Detrick, Maryland, United States beginning in 1943 under the control of the U.S. Army Chemical Corps Research and Development Command. The USBWL undertook pioneering research and development into biocontainment, decontamination, gaseous sterilization, and agent production and purification for the U.
