Barnes park

Sunderland College, is a further education, higher education college based in Sunderland, North East England. The enrolment includes around 6,300 part-time learners and approximately 4,800 full-time students. A report following a January 2010 Ofsted inspection awarded the school a Grade 2 (good) that included a Grade 1 (outstanding) on 3 inspection criteria.

Sunderland Royal Hospital is an acute general hospital in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear. It is managed by the City Hospitals Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust.

Barnes is an inner suburb in the southwest of Sunderland in northeast England, situated about a mile from the city centre. The area is split into Barnes, which lies towards the east, and High Barnes, which lies around Barnes Park and the Bede Sixth Form Centre of City of Sunderland College. Barnes is bounded by Chester Road to the north, Durham Road on the south, Springwell Road to the west and the city centre to the east.

Barnes Park is a historic public park in Sunderland, Tyne & Wear. Taken together with its post-war extensions, which run to the former county borough boundary, it is the largest park in the city.
