Daan District (or Da-an District, Da'an District) is an important educational, commercial, residential and cultural district of Taipei City, Republic of China (Taiwan). The name of the district means "great safety" or "great peace".

The Taipei Grand Mosque (Chinese: 台北清真寺; pinyin: Táiběi Qīngzhēnsì; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Tâi-pak Chheng-chin-sī) is the largest and most famous mosque in Taiwan with a total area of 2,747 square meters. Located in the Daan District of Taipei City, it is Taiwan's most important Islamic structure and was registered as a historic landmark on 29 June 1999 by the Taipei City Government.

Daan Forest Park is a public park near the centre of the Daan District of Taipei, Taiwan. The park occupies twenty-six hectares and is bordered on its north, south, east and west by Xinyi Road, Heping Road, Jianguo Road and Xinsheng Road, respectively. The park is used by residents of Taipei as a green activity space and for various outdoor activities.

The Wistaria Tea House (Chinese: 紫藤廬; pinyin: Zǐténg Lú), the Wisteria House, or Wistaria House is a historical teahouse in Daan District, Taipei, Taiwan. The establishment is situated in a Japanese-style wooden house built in the 1920s on Xinsheng South Road. The teahouse is named after the three wisteria vines planted in the front courtyard forming a shaded area leading to the entrance of the building.

The Mongolian and Tibetan Cultural Center (Chinese: 蒙藏文化中心; pinyin: Měng Zàng Wénhuà Zhōngxīn) is a cultural center in Daan District, Taipei, Taiwan under the administration of the Mongolian and Tibetan Affairs Commission of the Executive Yuan.

The Food and Fertilizer Technology Center for the Asian and Pacific Region was established by treaty in Kawana, Japan on 11 June 1969.The center is based in Taipei, the current members are: Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, The Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Thailand with Indonesia as an observer. Previous members included Australia, Laos and New Zealand.

The Wang Yun-wu Memorial Hall (Chinese: 王雲五紀念館; pinyin: Wáng Yúnwǔ Jìniànguǎn) is a memorial hall in Daan District, Taipei, Taiwan, dedicated to Wang Yun-wu, the former Vice Premier of the Republic of China.

The Civil Service Development Institute (CSDI; Chinese: 行政院人事行政總處公務人力發展中心; pinyin: Xíngzhèngyuàn Rénshì Xíngzhèng Zǒngchù Gōngwù Rénlì Fāzhǎn Zhōngxīn) is the agency of the Directorate-General of Personnel Administration of the Executive Yuan of the Taiwan (ROC) responsible to provide continuing learning for civil servants in Taiwan.

Jinhua Park (Chinese: 金華公園; pinyin: Jīnhuá Gōngyuán) is a park in Daan District, Taipei, Taiwan.

Rerum Novarum Centre, Taipei, increased operations in 1971 but had roots going back to Jesuit social services in Taiwan since the 1950s. The Centre tries to meet the major social and legal needs of native and foreign workers in the greater Taipei area, while also responding to emergencies and to the needs of the aboriginal peoples of Northern Taiwan.
