This is one hell of a hike! Only 2.3 miles but it will kick your butt. Narrow, steep, rock climbing, river crossing trail. It's more challenging than what a 2 mile hike would seem to be. Don't let the short distance fool you. Remember water and don't be afraid to to take breaks to drink some water and rest on your climb back up. We have done quite a few hard long distance hikes and this is more challenging than some of those have been. The reward is the river and it is definitely worth it. It is absolutely beautiful.
