Waterside/Gala run

Moffat is a former burgh and parish in Dumfriesshire, which is now part of the Dumfries and Galloway local authority area in Scotland, lying on the River Annan, with a population of around 2,500. It was a centre of the wool trade and a spa town.Moffat is around 59 mi (95 km) to the southeast of Glasgow, 51 mi (82 km) to the south of Edinburgh, 21 mi (34 km) to the north of Dumfries and 44 mi (71 km) to the north of Carlisle.

Moffat railway station was a station and the terminus of a short branch line which served Moffat, in the Scottish county of Dumfries and Galloway. It was served by trains from the junction at the now closed Beattock
