The Hengsteysee (Lake Hengstey) is a reservoir on the Ruhr river between the cities of Hagen, Dortmund and Herdecke, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It was built in 1929 and is one of five reservoirs on the Ruhr.The reservoir is about 4.2 km (2.6 mi) long and has an average width of 296 meters (971 ft).

Limburg-Hohenlimburg was a county in Germany in the Middle Ages. It was created as a partition of Limburg-Isenberg in 1246, and was annexed to Limburg-Styrum in 1304. In the 15th century, the house Limburg-Styrum was divided into Limburg-Broich, controlling Limburg-Hohenlimburg, and Limburg-Styrum who kept the lordship Styrum.

Elsey Abbey, earlier Elsey Priory (German: Kloster Elsey) is a former women's religious house located near Elsey, now part of Hohenlimburg, Hagen, Germany.It was founded in about 1220 by Friedrich von Isenberg for Premonstratensian canonesses and endowed with the local parish church and other possessions.

The Lenne is a tributary of the river Ruhr in the Sauerland hills, western Germany. It has caused flooding in recent years.Having its source on top of the Kahler Asten near Winterberg in an intermittent spring at an elevation of 2,687 ft (819 m), the Lenne ends after a course of 129 km flowing into the Ruhr river near the city of Hagen.

Wannebach is a river of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.It springs northeast of Stübbeken, a district of Iserlohn. It is a right tributary of the Lenne near Hagen.
