The Taehwa River flows into Ulsan Bay in Sea of Japan. The river's entire 46-kilometer course lies within the metropolitan city of Ulsan. The Taehwa drains an area of nearly 645 km²; much of this lies within Ulsan, but portions of it lie in neighboring cities such as Gyeongju.

Ulsan Jungang Market or Ulsan Central Market is a traditional street market in Jung-gu, Ulsan, South Korea. It is the largest traditional market in Ulsan. The market contains many shops that sell fruit, vegetables, meat, fish, breads, clothing, and Korean traditional medicinal items. The market also has many small restaurants and street-food stalls.

Ulsan Castle (울산왜성, 蔚山倭城), also known as Hakseong (학성, 鶴城), is a Japanese style castle in Ulsan, South Korea which was constructed during the Japanese invasions of Korea (Imjin war) by Katō Kiyomasa's army. Today, Ulsan Castle is almost ruined by the city planning of Ulsan.Ulsan Japanese Castle was excluded from Historic Sites of South Korea on October 30, 1997.
