Bussum (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈbɵsəm] (listen)) is a commuter town and former municipality in the Het Gooi region in the south east of the province of North Holland in the Netherlands. Since 2016, Bussum has been part of the new municipality of Gooise Meren.Bussum had a population of data missing in 2017 and covered an area of 8.15 km2 (3.15 sq mi).

Since 2011 it has been part of the new formed municipality of Stichtse Vecht. It is located on the river Vecht, about 2 km north of Loenen aan de Vecht. It received city rights in 1265.
