Robbiate (Brianzöö: Rubiàa) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Lecco in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 30 kilometres (19 mi) northeast of Milan and about 20 kilometres (12 mi) south of Lecco. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 5,333 and an area of 4.7 square kilometres (1.8 sq mi).

Paderno d'Adda (Brianzöö: Padèrnu; Bergamasque: Padéren) is a town and comune in the province of Lecco, in Lombardy. It is well known in the rest of Italy due to its famous bridge, built in the late eighteenth century following the Tour Eiffel style. It is said that Leonardo da Vinci used the Paderno's scenery as base for his famous painting Virgin of the Rocks.

The Naviglio di Paderno was a navigable canal of the Navigli system in the Lombardy region of Northern Italy. Approximately 3 kilometers (1.8 mi) long, it was built to bypass the rapids on the Adda River in the Paderno Dugnano section of the river.This is the canal where Leonardo da Vinci famously experimented his new mitred gates for pound locks.
