The National Maritime Museum (Dutch: Het Scheepvaartmuseum, pronounced [ət ˈsxeːpfaːrtmyˌzeːjʏm]) is a maritime museum in Amsterdam in the Netherlands. The museum had 419,060 visitors in 2012. It ranked as 11th most visited museum in the Netherlands in 2013. The museum had 300,000 visitors in 2015. In 2017 the museum received 350,000 visitors.

The Montelbaanstoren is a tower on bank of the Oudeschans, Amsterdam canal in the Netherlands. The original tower was built in 1516 as part of the Walls of Amsterdam for the purpose of defending the city and the harbour. The top half, designed by Hendrick de Keyser, was extended to its current, decorative form in 1606.

The Schreierstoren (English incorrectly translated as: Weeper's Tower), originally part of the medieval city wall of Amsterdam, the Netherlands, was built in the 15th century. It was the location from which Henry Hudson set sail on his journey to Northern America. This expedition would lead to the discovery of the island of Manhattan among others.

Amsterdam Centre for Architecture (ARCAM) is an organisation that was founded in 1986 that "concentrates its activities in Amsterdam and the surrounding area." Arcam focuses on architecture, urban design, and landscape architecture. Arcam is the oldest and largest of more than forty local Dutch architecture centers.

The Kattenburgervaart is a short canal in Amsterdam that runs through the Oostelijke Eilanden (Eastern Islands). The canal separates the island of Wittenburg, which was built in the 17th century, from the island of Kattenburg. The Kattenburgervaart runs parallel to the Wittenburgervaart (to the east) from the Nieuwe Vaart to the Dijksgracht.

The Shipping House (Dutch: Scheepvaarthuis) is a building on the western tip of the Waalseiland near Amsterdam harbour that is one of the top 100 Dutch heritage sites and generally regarded as the first true example of the Amsterdam School, a style characterised by "expressive dynamism, lavish ornamentation and colourful embellishments".

The Schippersgracht is a canal and street in the Centrum district of Amsterdam that runs from the Rapenburgerplein to the Prins Hendrikkade .

The Rapenburgwal is a secondary canal in Amsterdam in the east of the Amsterdam-Centrum district, in the Lastage neighborhood.

Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ (English: "Music Building on the IJ") is the main concert hall for contemporary classical music on the IJ in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The building opened in 2005 and is located above the IJtunnel, a ten-minute walk from Amsterdam Centraal station. The building was designed by Danish architects 3XN.

The Common Fund for Commodities (CFC) is an intergovernmental financial institution established within the framework of the United Nations. It is a vestige of the proposed New International Economic Order. The CFC finances commodity development projects in developing states.The CFC was established in 1989.
