Iso Omena (Finnish for "Big Apple") is a shopping centre in Matinkylä, Espoo, Finland, opened on September 24, 2001. The construction of Iso Omena aimed to take heed of the wishes of the population of Espoo as well as possible. Because of this, Iso Omena includes many centralised municipal and private services.

Matinkylä (Finnish) or Mattby (Swedish) is an underground station on the western metro extension (Länsimetro) of the Helsinki Metro. It is located at the southern end of Iso Omena shopping centre. In 2023, it will be extended from Matinkylä to Kivenlahti, as part of second phase of Western Metro project.

The diameter of the tower is 45.3 m and its volume is 4000 m³. The height of the tower is 45.3 m and from sea level 76.3 m.In the top part of the water tower is a restaurant called Haikaranpesä ("Stork's nest").

Mattlidens Gymnasium is a Swedish speaking upper secondary school in Espoo, Finland. It was founded in 1977 as a standalone upper secondary school from Drumsö Svenska Samskola. With nearly 550 pupils, the school is one of the largest Swedish speaking high schools in Finland.The school is an International Baccalaureate affiliate school, with nearly 150 students studying the IB track.

Olari (Finnish) or Olars (Swedish) is a district of the city of Espoo, Finland. Olari is located about 15 kilometres west of central Helsinki, north of the Länsiväylä highway and Matinkylä. The district has a population of about 15,000. The population consist of mostly middle-class families. The district is famous for its contribution to the Finnish rap culture.
