Hemlington is a settlement within the town of Middlesbrough, in the borough of Middlesbrough and the ceremonial county of North Yorkshire, England. In 2015, it had a permanent population of 6 557, 4.74% of Middlesbrough's resident population.

St Clare's, Middlesbrough is a parish in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Middlesbrough. The church is close to the junction of the A19 and the A174.

Middlesbrough Rural District was a rural district in the North Riding of Yorkshire from 1894 to 1932.It was based on the Middlesbrough rural sanitary district created in 1875, which consisted of the Middlesbrough poor law union, except those parts in urban sanitary districts (that is: Middlesbrough, Eston (from 1884) and Thornaby on Tees).
