Downtown Aquarium is a public aquarium and restaurant located in Houston, Texas, United States that was developed from two Houston landmarks: Fire Station No. 1 and the Central Waterworks Building. The aquarium is located on a 6-acre (2.4 ha) site at 410 Bagby Street in downtown Houston. It houses over 200 species of aquatic animals in 500,000 US gallons (1,900,000 l) of aquariums.

Tolerance is an outdoor 2011 aluminum sculpture by Spanish artist Jaume Plensa, installed along Buffalo Bayou in Houston, Texas, in the United States. It consists of seven separate wire frame human figures on granite pedestals.

White Oak Bayou is a slow-moving river in Houston, Texas. A major tributary of the city's principal waterway, Buffalo Bayou, White Oak originates near the intersection of Texas State Highway 6 and U.S. Highway 290 (the Northwest Freeway) and meanders southeast for 25 miles (40 km) until it joins Buffalo Bayou in Downtown.

Sesquicentennial Park is an urban park in downtown Houston, Texas. Established in 1989 along the banks of Buffalo Bayou, the 22.5-acre (91,000 m2) park was established in 1986 to commemorate the 150 year anniversary of the founding of the city of Houston and of the Republic of Texas.Built in two phases, the 2.2-acre (8,900 m2) entrance to the park and a 10.4-acre (42,000 m2) site that flanks Buffalo Bayou as it flows past Wortham Theater Center and the northern section of the Houston Theater District was completed in August 1989.

The Lee and Joe Jamail Skatepark is a public skatepark in Houston, Texas (USA). The $2.7 million project opened in June 2008. At over 40,000 square feet (3,700 m2), it is one of the largest in Texas. It has two cradles, one of which is thought to be the largest in the United States, as well as a kidney pool, a large bowl with 12.5 ft (3.8 m) deep end and a street/flow area.

The American General Center is a complex of several office buildings in Neartown Houston, Texas located along Allen Parkway. It is owned by AIG American General.The America Tower is a 590 ft (180m) tall skyscraper. It was completed in 1983 and has 42 floors. It is the 19th tallest building in the city.

Fitzgerald's was one of the oldest and widely recognized live music venues in the Greater Houston area. The club has been at the top of the live music scene in Houston since it opened in 1977. Fitzgerald's is commonly referred to as "Fitz.” Fitzgerald’s closed and the 100 year old building was demolished in 2019.
