Real Club Celta de Vigo (Galician pronunciation: [reˈal ˈkluβ ˈθeltɐ ðɪ ˈβiɣʊ]; Royal Club Celta de Vigo), commonly known as Celta Vigo or simply Celta, is a Spanish professional football club based in Vigo, Galicia, currently playing in La Liga. It was founded on 23 August 1923 following the merger of Real Vigo Sporting and Real Fortuna Football Club.

Coruxo Fútbol Club, is a Spanish football club based in the parish of Coruxo, Vigo, in the autonomous community of Galicia. Founded in 1930 it plays in Segunda División B – Group 1, holding home matches at O Vao, with a capacity of 1,500 spectators.The association also has its own futsal section, amongst others.

The PSA Vigo plant (Centro de Vigo de PSA Peugeot Citroën) is a Spanish car manufacturing and assembly plant owned by the French company Groupe PSA.In April 1958 Citroën, responding to the high tariff barriers that protected Spain's domestic auto-makers, established the Vigo car plant in Galicia. As of 2011 the Vigo car plant is one of the largest employers in the region, with 9,700 on the payroll in 2007.

Samil Beach (Galician: Praia de Samil, Spanish: Playa de Samil) is the principal beach of Vigo in Galicia in north-west Spain.The river Lagares mouth is found at its west end. It is located in an environment of exceptional beauty, with Cíes Islands as background. The beach is 1,700 metres (5,600 ft) long and is connected with the urban public transport and disabled accesses are available during the summer.
