Dumaguete, officially the City of Dumaguete (Tagalog: [dʊmɐˈgɛtɛ]; Cebuano: Dakbayan sa Dumaguete; Filipino: Lungsod ng Dumaguete), is a component city and capital of the province of Negros Oriental, Philippines. According to the 2024 census, it has a population of 142,171 people. It is the most populous city and the smallest city by land area in Negros Oriental, as well as one of the two regional centers in Negros Island Region (the other one is Bacolod).

The Dumaguete Presidencia is a historic building in Dumaguete, Philippines.The Presidencia was built in 1937 with Juan Arellano as its architect. It is a mixture of indigenous Filipino, Spanish and neoclassical architecture. It used to serve as the city hall of Dumaguete.It was later renovated and converted to a museum particularly as a branch of the National Museum of the Philippines (NMP).
