The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras or IIT-M) is a public research university and technical institute located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. St. Mary's College of Engineering and Technology (SMCET) is a technical institute located in Pochampally, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, India. Located in Deshmukhi Village and 8.6 km from Ramoji Film City Entrance.In 2010 the All India Council for Technical Education approved collaboration between the St. Mary's College and Marist College to allow students in India to earn a US-recognized MS degree.

The Chemplast Cricket Ground or Indian Institute of Technology Chemplast Ground is a cricket ground within the IIT Madras campus, in Velachery, Chennai.The ground is an important cricket venue in Chennai, and used for practice sessions by the Indian national cricket team. Chemplast is described by cricketer Sachin Tendulkar as the most scenic in the country.

The Center for Computational Brain Research (CCBR) is an Interdisciplinarity research centre located at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, Chennai, India. CCBR was set up in 2015 with funding from the co-founder of Infosys, Kris Gopalakrishnan. The stated objective of the center is "to explore the interface between Neuroscience and Engineering disciplines".
