Legon , a suburb of the Ghanaian city Accra, is situated about 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) north-east of the city center in the Ayawaso West Municipal District, a district in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. Legon is home to the main campus of the University of Ghana. Ghanaians loosely refer to the University of Ghana simply as "Legon".

The Legon Sports Stadium, also known as the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, is a stadium at the University of Ghana. It was completed in preparation for the 2023 African Games, and has a capacity of 11,000-seats.

The Hall has its own statutes governing the administration of its affairs while the affairs of students are organized and supervised by Executives of the Junior Common Room.

The University of Ghana Primary School, now called the University Basic School, is a primary school located on the campus of the University of Ghana in Legon, Greater Accra Region, Ghana. It was established at a temporary location in Achimota in 1955 to educate the children of university faculty and staff.

It was originally an affiliate college of the University of London, which supervised its academic programs and awarded degrees.
