Kentlands

Kentlands is a neighborhood of the U.S. city of Gaithersburg, Maryland.Kentlands was one of the first attempts to develop a community using Traditional Neighborhood Design planning techniques (also known as 'neo-traditional new town planning') that are now generally referred to under the rubric of the New Urbanism.

Managed by Montgomery County Public Schools, the school educates over 1,000 students in grades 6-8. The school was named after Lakelands Park, which is adjacent to the school. With its premises used regularly for community events, the school has a high local profile.

Lakelands Park is a park located in the Lakelands neighborhood of the City of Gaithersburg, Montgomery County, Maryland. The park includes two baseball/softball fields, a playground, and a large grassy area usually used for soccer. This park is located next to Lakelands Park Middle School.
