Greenwich

The Gulliver's nightclub fire occurred in the early hours of June 30, 1974, on the border of Port Chester, New York and Greenwich, Connecticut. The fire killed 24 patrons and injured 19 patrons and 13 firemen. The fire was caused by arson in an adjacent bowling alley that had been aimed at covering up a minor burglary there.

Byram is a neighborhood/section and census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Greenwich in Fairfield County, Connecticut, United States. It had a population of 4,146 at the 2010 census, and a census-estimated population of 4,216 in 2018. An endcap of Connecticut's Gold Coast, Byram is the southernmost point in the town of Greenwich and the U.

Life Savers Building is a historic commercial and industrial building located on North Main Street between Horton and Wilkins Avenues at Port Chester, Westchester County, New York. It was built in 1920 and expanded in 1948–1949. It served as a manufacturing facility and headquarters of the Life Savers Candy Company until 1984.

The Byram School is a historic former school building, located between Sherman Avenue and Western Junior Highway in Greenwich, Connecticut. Completed in 1926, it is a well-preserved example of institutional Colonial Revival architecture, enhanced by a parklike setting. It was used as a school until 1978, and was then converted to senior housing.

The Phebe Seaman House is located in the Byram section of Greenwich, Connecticut. It was built in 1794 and is one of the oldest structures in Byram. It is also believed to be the Seth Mead homestead possibly.The house is a rare example of a relatively intact vernacular Colonial dwelling. Its 2+1⁄2-story, 3-bay frame is covered with original wide clapboards and reveals evidence of the original saltbox roof on both side elevations where the ends of the older clapboards show a stepped pattern depicting the original rear slope of the house before the flat-roofed second-story addition was constructed.

The Thomas Lyon House, at 1 Byram Road, was built ca. 1739 and is considered to be the oldest unaltered structure in Greenwich, Connecticut. The restoration of the house, a Colonial saltbox, is the primary project of the Greenwich Preservation Trust, a not-for-profit organization that grew out of the Thomas Lyon House Committee formed by the Byram Neighborhood Association.
