Crocosaurus Cove is a crocodile (and other reptile) herpetarium and aquarium attraction located in an indoor-outdoor complex in the city district of Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia. Its main focus, as the facility's name indicates, is the crocodile, a common animal in northern Australia.The park says it has "the World's largest display of Australian reptiles", and most of its reptiles are from the Top End of the Northern Territory and the Kimberley and desert regions of Australia.

The Darwin Entertainment Centre is the city's main concert venue and hosts theatre and orchestral performances in Darwin, Australia. The centre is located in the Heart of Darwin's central business district. The Darwin Symphony Orchestra regularly plays there.American singer Tina Turner performed at the venue in February 1988 as part of her Break Every Rule World Tour.

The 2010 Darwin shopping centre bombing was an incident which occurred on 3 February 2010 at the CBD Plaza shopping centre, located at 47 Cavenagh Street in the Darwin CBD. 19 people were wounded, including a police officer.

Bicentennial Park is a large area of parkland located in the Darwin city centre, Darwin, Northern Territory. It runs the length of Darwin's waterfront which looks over Darwin Harbour. The park stretches from Northern Territory Parliament House to Doctor's Gully.The park is home to monuments dedicated to those who died during the Bombing of Darwin, including: the Darwin Cenotaph War Memorial (erected 1921, moved to present location in 1992), the Civilian Memorial and the USS Peary Memorial.

Lyons Cottage, as so known as British Australian Telegraph Company Residence, is one of the oldest remaining heritage buildings in the central business district in Darwin City in the Northern Territory of Australia.

Hotel Darwin was a hotel located on the Esplanade in central Darwin in the Northern Territory of Australia. It was commonly known as the "Grand Old Duchess". Despite surviving the Bombing of Darwin and Cyclone Tracy, the hotel was demolished in 1999. A bar at the rear of the original site formerly known as the Hot & Cold Bar now functions under the name Hotel Darwin.

Smith who was the first surveyor in charge of party number 3 of George Goyder in 1869. Smith Street runs 2.2 km (1.4 mi) in a north-west to south-east direction from Larrakeyah into the Darwin CBD.

Lameroo Beach is a small beach located off the esplanade in central Darwin in the Northern Territory of Australia. It was the location of the town's historic baths between 1922 and 1974. The name for Lameroo Beach comes from a corrupted interpretation of the nearby Aboriginal site Damoe-Ra, which means "eye" or "spring" in Larrakia.
