It is located at the Jongno District in the capital city of Seoul, behind Gyeongbokgung Palace.

Assassination of Empress Myeongseong

After her death, she was posthumously given the title of "Empress Myeongseong". The attack happened at the royal palace Gyeongbokgung in Seoul, Joseon.
