Banaras Hindu University() (BHU), formerly Benares Hindu University, is a collegiate, central, and research university located in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India, and founded in 1916. The university incorporated the Central Hindu College, which had been founded by theosophist and future Indian Home Rule leader Annie Besant in 1898.

Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University) Varanasi (IIT-BHU) is a public technical university located in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India. Founded in 1919 as the Banaras Engineering College, it became the Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University in 1968. It was later designated an Indian Institute of Technology in 2012.

Sir Sunderlal Hospital (SSH-BHU) is a teaching hospital affiliated with the Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University (IMS-BHU) in Varanasi, India. Located on the BHU campus, it is the largest tertiary referral hospital in Eastern Uttar Pradesh state. In 2018, it was upgraded to the status of AIIMS by the Government of India.
