Bashkir State University (Russian: Башкирский государственный университет, romanized: Bashkirskiy gosudarstvennyy universitet; Bashkir: Башҡорт дәүләт университеты, romanized: Başqort dəwlət universitetı) (now Ufa University of Science and Technology) was located in Ufa, Bashkortostan, Russia. Founded in 1909, it was a classical university of Russia.

Bashkir State Agrarian University, BSAU (Russian: Башкирский государственный аграрный университет, Bashkir: Башҡорт дәүләт аграр университеты, БДАУ, romanized: Başqort dəwlət agrar universitetı, BDAU) – one of the oldest agricultural higher education institutions of Russia and a centre of education and research in the Bashkortostan Republic.

The Rodina Cinema (Russian: Кинотеатр Родина, romanized: Kinoteatr Rodina, lit. 'Cinema Motherland') is an historic cinema building in Lenina Street, the main street of Ufa, Bashkortostan, Russia. The building was completed and opened in 1953, and as of 2018 was still being used as a cinema.

Ufa ( OO-fə; Russian: Уфа [ʊˈfa]; Bashkir: Өфө, romanized: Öfö, IPA: [ʏ̞ˈfʏ̞] ) is the largest city in and the capital of Bashkortostan, Russia. Ufimsky District (Russian: Уфи́мский райо́н; Bashkir: Өфө районы, Öfö rayonı) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the fifty-four in the Republic of Bashkortostan, Russia. It is located in the center of the republic and borders with Kushnarenkovsky District in the northwest and north, Blagoveshchensky District in the north, Iglinsky District in the east, Karmaskalinsky District in the south, Chishminsky District in the southwest and west, and is split into two uneven parts by the territory of the city of republic significance of Ufa.

Ufa Governorate was an administrative-territorial unit (guberniya) of the Russian Empire with its capital in the city of Ufa. It was created in 1865 by separation from Orenburg Governorate. On June 14, 1922 the governorate was transformed into the Bashkir Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. It occupied an area of 122,005 square kilometres (47,106 sq mi) and the territory of governorate was divided to six uyezds.

The Monument to Miftahetdin Akmulla, built in 2008, is a monument at Bashkir State Pedagogical University in Ufa, Bashkortostan. Opened in 2008.

Ufa State Aviation Technical University (USATU) (Russian: Уфимский Государственный Авиационный Технический Университет, УГАТУ, Bashkir: Өфө дәүләт авиация техник университеты, ӨДАТУ) was a state higher school, located in Ufa, Bashkortostan, Russia. Ufa State Aviation Technical University was founded in 1932 in Rybinsk, USSR (moved to Ufa during WWII).
