Bashkir State University (Russian: Башкирский государственный университет, romanized: Bashkirskiy gosudarstvennyy universitet; Bashkir: Башҡорт дәүләт университеты, romanized: Başqort dəwlət universitetı) (now Ufa University of Science and Technology) was located in Ufa, Bashkortostan, Russia. Founded in 1909, it was a classical university of Russia.

Bashkir State Academic Drama Theater Majit Gafuri (Bashkir: Мәжит Ғафури исемендәге Башҡорт дәүләт академия драма театры, romanized: Məjit Ğafuri isemendəge Başqort dəwlət akademiya drama teatrı) operates in the Ufa city, the capital of the Republic of Bashkortostan of Russian Federations. The foundation of the theater was laid on December 4, 1919, in Sterlitamak - the capital of the Bashkir Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic.

Built in either 1907 or 1912 for merchant Pavel Kosterin, the building was occupied during the Russian Civil War by the White Army.

Ufa State Aviation Technical University (USATU) (Russian: Уфимский Государственный Авиационный Технический Университет, УГАТУ, Bashkir: Өфө дәүләт авиация техник университеты, ӨДАТУ) was a state higher school, located in Ufa, Bashkortostan, Russia. Ufa State Aviation Technical University was founded in 1932 in Rybinsk, USSR (moved to Ufa during WWII).

It is located at Republic House.Monument to Hero of the Soviet Union Alexander Matrosov was established in Ufa May 9, 1951 in the park renamed in honor of the hero. The monument is made of bronze mounted on a pedestal of pink granite.
