The International Cospas-Sarsat Programme is a satellite-aided search and rescue (SAR) initiative. It is organized as a treaty-based, nonprofit, intergovernmental, humanitarian cooperative of 45 nations and agencies (see infobox). It is dedicated to detecting and locating emergency locator radio beacons activated by persons, aircraft or vessels in distress, and forwarding this alert information to authorities that can take action for rescue.

The Port of Bari (Italian: Porto di Bari) is a port serving Bari, southeastern Italy. The port of Bari is traditionally considered Europe's door to the Balkan Peninsula and the Middle East, and is a multipurpose port able to meet all operational requirements. Among the largest ports on the Adriatic, in 2012 the port of Bari handled about 2 million passengers, of which about 650,000 were cruise passengers.

Stadio della Vittoria (or Arena della Vittoria) is a multi-purpose stadium in Bari, Italy. The stadium holds 19,253 people. In 1991, it was used as a refugee camp, for 20,000 Albanian refugees, of the ship Vlora.It was home to A.S. Bari, until they moved to the Stadio San Nicola in 1990. It is currently used mostly for rugby matches of Tigri Rugby Bari and American football matches of Navy Seals Bari and concerts.

The Bari Grand Prix was a Grand Prix road race, held in Bari, Italy, between 1947 and 1956. The course was 3.449 miles (6 km) and, except for 1956, was run in an anticlockwise direction. In 1953 the race was not contested.

The Marconi-San Girolamo-Fesca, improperly named simply San Girolamo, is a quarter of Bari, the capital of Apulia. The quarter has about 12,900 residents.
