Vange to Benfleet

The Appleton School is a secondary school and sixth form with academy status located in Croft Road, Benfleet, Essex, England. It currently accommodates 1,600 students from school years 7 to 13, and roughly 100 teachers.

Chalvedon School and 6th Form College was a Specialist Technology College in Pitsea, Essex, England.It was a comprehensive school educating pupils aged between 11 and 18 years of age. Chalvedon had over 1800 pupils on roll including 196 sixth formers.The school was first opened in 1966 and operated on the same site until its formal closure.

Vange is a village in the Borough of Basildon in Essex, England. The village was first recorded in the Domesday Book in 1086 as having a population of 27. The London Road (B1464) is the main road through Vange and used to be part of the A13 until it was bypassed in the 1970s. The population of the Vange ward within the Basildon Borough taken at the 2011 Census was 10,048.

Pitsea is a town and former civil parish in the Borough of Basildon in south Essex, England. It comprises five sub-districts: Eversley, Northlands Park Neighbourhood (previously known as Felmores), Chalvedon, Pitsea Mount and Burnt Mills. It is part of the new town of Basildon.During the creation of the new town of Basildon in the late 1940s and early 1950s, "Pitsea", "Vange" and "Laindon" were considered as possible names for the new town.
