East Campus to Campus Lake

Faner Hall is a building on the campus of Southern Illinois University Carbondale in Carbondale, Illinois. It is named after Robert D. Faner, a former English professor at the university. It is located in the central part of the Southern Illinois University Carbondale campus, and houses the College of Liberal Arts (COLA), which includes multiple departments, as well as the Sharp Museum.

Banterra Center (formerly SIU Arena) is an 8,284-seat multi-purpose arena, on the campus of Southern Illinois University, in Carbondale, Illinois, United States. Construction on the arena began in the spring of 1962 and took nearly two years to complete. It was completed in 1964 and is the home of the SIU Salukis basketball team.

Altgeld Hall is a building on the campus of Southern Illinois University Carbondale. It is the oldest currently occupied structure on the campus.

Davies Gym is the home of the Southern Illinois Salukis women's volleyball team and former home of all indoor sports at SIU. Upon completion of the SIU Arena in 1964, men's programs moved to the new facility.In the 1980s, former Governor of Illinois Jim Thompson allocated $3.35 million to the University to upgrade the facility.

The Fisheries and Illinois Aquaculture Center at Southern Illinois University Carbondale (SIUC) was founded by Dr. William M. Lewis, Senior in 1950. The Center is administratively housed in the Graduate School. Faculty have joint appointments in the Center and the Department of Zoology within the College of Science or in the Department of Animal Science, Food and Nutrition in the College of Agricultural Sciences.

Southern Illinois University (SIU or SIUC) is a public research university in Carbondale, Illinois. Chartered in 1869, SIU is the oldest and flagship campus of the Southern Illinois University system. SIU enrolls students from all 50 states and more than 100 countries. McAndrew Stadium was a multi-purpose stadium in Carbondale, Illinois, United States. It opened in 1938 and was home to the Southern Illinois University Salukis football team, as well as the track team. It was replaced by Saluki Stadium in 2010.Originally built by the Works Progress Administration during the Great Depression of the mid-1930s, it had a construction cost of $150,000, only seated 5,000 and was hailed as one of the most attractive stadiums in the Midwest.

Southern Illinois University Simmons Law School (SIU Law) is one of four public law schools in the U.S. state of Illinois. Located in Carbondale, Illinois, it is the only law school in the southern region of Illinois.

Shryock Auditorium is an auditorium located on the campus of Southern Illinois University Carbondale in Carbondale, Illinois, United States. The auditorium was named for the university's fifth president, Henry William Shryock, who died inside the building just before a student convocation on April 13, 1935.

The Southern Illinois University Carbondale School of Music is the music school of Southern Illinois University Carbondale. It is housed in Altgeld Hall, the Old Baptist Foundation Building, and Shryock Auditorium.
