The Almaty Pioneers Palace (Russian: Алматинский дворец школьников, tr. almatinskii dvorets shkolnikov) is a Pioneers Palace, an institution from the Soviet Union to provide after-school education for children, built in Almaty in 1983.

Arman (Russian: Арман, tr. arman) is a digital four-screen cinema in Almaty, Kazakhstan, constructed in 1968. It has the status of cultural monument of local importance.

The Abai Square (Kazakh: Абай алаңы) is a city square in Almaty, Kazakhstan. It is named after the Kazakh poet and enlightener Abai Qunanbaiuly whose monument is located in the middle. The square features a public garden and a number of fountains clad in granite. The square is located in front of the Palace of the Republic and around it are the Hotel Kazakhstan, Arman cinema, and a cable station linking to the Kók Tóbe Park.

Palace of the Republic is a concert hall building located in Almaty, Kazakhstan. It is intended for concerts, festivals and other cultural events. It was one of the premiere sites for the Eurasia Film Festival. Outside, with the fountains on the square in front of the Palace and the monument of the Kazakh poet Abai, Palace of the Republic is one of the main known attractions of Almaty from the Kunaev era.

Hotel Kazakhstan (Kazakh: Қазақстан Қонақ Үйі, romanized: Qazaqstan Qonaq Üiı, Russian: Гостиница Казахстан) is the third-tallest building in the city of Almaty, Kazakhstan. It is 102 m (335 ft) tall, with 26 floors. It is situated in the southern center of Almaty. It is located on Dostyq Avenue, a major road in the east part of the city which runs all the way from Medeo to Panfilov Park, in the north part of town.

KIMEP University (formerly: Kazakhstan Institute of Management, Economics, and Forecasting) is a private university founded in 1992 in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

The Kazakhstan Academy of Sciences (official name National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan) is the highest scientific organization of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The Academy of Sciences was founded on 1 June 1946 on the basis of the Kazakh branch of the USSR Academy of Sciences. The central office is located in Almaty.
