Chateau-sur-Mer is one of the first grand Bellevue Avenue mansions of the Gilded Age in Newport, Rhode Island. Located at 474 Bellevue Avenue, it is now owned by the Preservation Society of Newport County and is open to the public as a museum. Chateau-sur-Mer's grand scale and lavish parties ushered in the Gilded Age of Newport, as it was the most palatial residence in Newport until the Vanderbilt houses in the 1890s.

Bois Doré is a French chateau-style mansion built in 1927 in Newport, Rhode Island. It was designed by New York architect Charles A. Platt for William Fahnestock, a New York banker. It is described as one of the last great houses built for Newport, and is a part of the Ochre Point-Cliffs Historic District.

King Park is a small historic town park and beach at 125 Wellington Avenue in Newport, Rhode Island. It was the landing site of General Rochambeau during the Revolutionary War, and the park currently features a statue honoring Rochambeau's landing as a well as a beach, playground, dinghy dock, and little league baseball field.

Emmanuel Church is an historic Episcopal church at 42 Dearborn Street in Newport, Rhode Island. The church began as a mission of Newport's Trinity Church in 1841. In 1852, it was admitted into the diocese as Emmanuel Free Church in its own right.The current building was designed by architectural firm Cram, Goodhue & Ferguson in Late Gothic Revival style.

Rochambeau Statue and Memorial is a monument to French nobleman and General Jean-Baptiste Donatien de Vimeur, comte de Rochambeau, who was a key commander of the French forces who assisted the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War. The monument is located on the waterfront in King Park, along the southern edge of Newport Harbor, near Brenton Cove and Fort Adams state park and was erected in 1934.

The Rhode Island Center for the Book is a non-profit organization and an affiliate of the National Center for the Book at the Library of Congress. Founded in 2003, the organization "promoting personal and community enrichment by celebrating the art and heritage of reading, writing, making, and sharing books." The center runs a number of book- and reading-related programs, including Reading Across Rhode Island and Kids Reading Across Rhode Island, an annual initiative that encourages Rhode Islanders across the state to read and discuss one book, by providing books and programing; and the Youth Poetry Initiative, which is supported by Rhode Island Poet Laureate Tina Cane.

Vernon Court is an American Renaissance mansion designed by architects Carrère and Hastings. It is located at 492 Bellevue Avenue, Newport, Rhode Island, on the Atlantic coast of the United States. The design is loosely based on that of an 18th-century French mansion, Château d'Haroué.

William S. Rogers High School is a public high school in Newport, Rhode Island and a part of Newport Public Schools. Other public high schools include the Paul Crowley MET School and the Career & Technical School.

Newport Classical, previously known as Newport Music Festival, is an annual chamber music-oriented music festival and year-round classical music arts organization in Newport, Rhode Island, which began in July 1969. The festival consists of dozens of concerts each year, held in a variety of historic sites around town.
