The Moscow metropolitan area (Russian: Московская агломерация) or Moscow capital region (Russian: Московский столичный регион) is the most populous metropolitan area in Russia as well as in Europe, with a population of around 21.5 million. It consists of the city of Moscow and surrounding areas in Moscow Oblast.

Prospekt Vernadskogo (Russian: Проспе́кт Верна́дского, English: Vernadsky Avenue) is a Moscow Metro station in the Prospekt Vernadskogo District, Western Administrative Okrug, Moscow. It is on the Sokolnicheskaya line, between Yugo-Zapadnaya and Universitet stations. Built in 1963, it conforms to the standard pillar-trispan design which was used for virtually all Metro stations in the 1960s.

Prospekt Vernadskogo (Russian: Проспект Вернадского) is a station on the Bolshaya Koltsevaya line of the Moscow Metro. It was opened on 7 December 2021 as part of the section between Mnyovniki and Kakhovskaya. Passengers can transfer to Prospekt Vernadskogo.

Novatorskaya (Russian: Новаторская) is a metro station on Bolshaya Koltsevaya line of the Moscow Metro, between Prospekt Vernadskogo and Vorontsovskaya. The name of the station derives from Novatorov Street as it is located at the interchange between Leninsky Avenue and Novatorov Street. The station was opened on 7 December 2021 as part of the section between Mnyovniki and Kakhovskaya.

Prospekt Vernadskogo District (Russian: Проспект Вернадского райо́н) is an administrative district (raion) of Western Administrative Okrug, and one of the 125 raions of Moscow, Russia. The area of the district is 4.6154 square kilometers (1.7820 sq mi). Population: 62,000 (2017 est.),
