Wapping to Whitechapel

The East London Mosque (ELM) is situated in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets between Whitechapel and Aldgate East. Combined with the adjoining London Muslim Centre and Maryam Centre, it is one of the largest mosques in Western Europe accommodating more than 7,000 worshippers for congregational prayers.

Altab Ali Park is a small park on the Whitechapel Road, in Whitechapel, London. Formerly known as St Mary's Park, it is the site of the old 14th-century, once whitewashed church, St Mary Matfelon, from which Whitechapel gets its name. St Mary's was badly damaged by enemy action in 1940, during The Blitz, and subsequently demolished.

Fieldgate Street Great Synagogue, (Hebrew: שער יעקב, romanized: Sha’ar Ya’akov, lit. 'Gate of Jacob'), is a former Orthodox Jewish congregation and synagogue, located at 41 Fieldgate Street, Whitechapel, in the Borough of Tower Hamlets, in the East End of London, England, in the United Kingdom. Established in 1899, the congregation worshiped in the Ashkenazi rite.

Cannon Street Road was a short-lived railway station in Shadwell, east London, that was on the London and Blackwall Railway (LBR) between Minories and Shadwell stations.It opened in August 1842 but was closed c. December 1848. The reasons for its closure are unclear, but it may have been due to low patronage combined with its close proximity to other stations.

The London Docks were one of several sets of docks in the historic Port of London.They were constructed in Wapping, downstream from the City of London between 1799 and 1815, at a cost exceeding £5½ million.Traditionally ships had docked at wharves on the River Thames, but by the late 1700s more capacity was needed.

The London Action Resource Centre (LARC) is an anarchist infoshop and self-managed social centre situated in Whitechapel, in the East End of London. Previously a school and a synagogue, it was purchased in 1999. It hosts meetings and events from various groups and is part of the UK Social Centre Network.

Muslim Community Radio (MCR) also known as Ramadan Radio was a radio station based in London, United Kingdom founded in 1998. The station used to run through FM radio, at 87.7 FM (formerly 1143AM, 87.8 FM & 101.4 FM prior to that), and only broadcast annually during the holy month of Ramadan. The slogan of the radio station is 'Ramadan Special'.

The Whitechapel Bell Foundry was a business in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. At the time of the closure of its Whitechapel premises, it was the oldest manufacturing company in Great Britain. The bell foundry primarily made church bells and their fittings and accessories, although it also provided single tolling bells, carillon bells and handbells.

St George-in-the-East is an Anglican Church dedicated to Saint George; located on Cannon Street Road, between The Highway and Cable Street, in the East End of London. Behind the church lies St George's Gardens, the original graveyard.
