The Heart of the City is a long-term project aiming at the redevelopment of the historic centre of Kaliningrad, Russia the area surrounding the former Königsberg Castle and the House of Soviets. In 2013, the Non-governmental organization Urban Planning Bureau "Heart of the City" (Russian name: Градостроительное бюро «Сердце города») was founded by the Kaliningrad Regional Government to serve as a project implementation unit.

The Catholic Church of the Holy Family (Russian: Кирха Святого Семейства; German: Kirche zur Heiligen Familie) is a neogothic brick church in Kaliningrad. It was built in the Haberberg city district of Königsberg, near the Pregel river, between 1904 and 1907. The church was designed by architect Friedrich Heitmann and was built for the Catholic immigrants that were arriving in Königsberg.

Altstadt was a quarter of central Königsberg, Prussia. During the Middle Ages it was the most powerful of the three towns that composed the city of Königsberg, the others being Löbenicht and Kneiphof. Its territory is now part of Kaliningrad, Russia.

German submarine U-763 was a Type VIIC U-boat built for Nazi Germany's Kriegsmarine for service during World War II.She was laid down on 21 January 1941 by Kriegsmarinewerft Wilhelmshaven as yard number 146, launched on 16 January 1943 and commissioned on 13 March 1943 under Oberleutnant zur See Ernst Cordes.

Altstadt Church (German: Altstädtische Kirche) was a medieval church in the Altstadt quarter of Königsberg, Germany. It was dismantled during the 1820s and replaced with New Altstadt Church.

Lomse was a quarter of eastern Königsberg in Germany (now Kaliningrad, Russia). Lomse was located on the western end of Lomse Island in the Pregel River; the large island is now known as October Island (Russian: Октябрьский остров). The Neuer Pregel, the northern branch of the river, separated Lomse from Kneiphof to the west, Altstadt to the northwest, and Löbenicht to the north.

Oktyabrsky Island (Russian: Остров Октябрьский, meaning "October [Revolution] Island") is an island in the Pregolya River in Kaliningrad, the capital of Kaliningrad Oblast, an exclave of Russia. The island, covering about 10 square kilometres (3.9 sq mi), is immediately east (upriver) of the city's historic centre.

Königsberg's New Synagogue (German: Neue Synagoge) was one of three synagogues in Königsberg in Prussia, East Prussia (now Kaliningrad, Russia). The other synagogues were Old Synagogue and Adass Jisroel synagogue. The New Synagogue was destroyed in the aftermath of Kristallnacht in 1938. It was reconstructed and reopened in 2018.

Königsberg Cathedral (Russian: Кафедральный собор в Калининграде, romanized: Kafedralny sobor v Kaliningrade; German: Königsberger Dom) is a Brick Gothic-style monument in Kaliningrad, Russia, located on Kneiphof island in the Pregolya (Pregel) river. It is the most significant preserved building of the former city of Königsberg, which was largely destroyed in World War II.
