The Farnsworth Art Museum in Rockland, Maine, United States, is an art museum that specializes in American art. Its permanent collection includes works by such artists as Gilbert Stuart, Thomas Sully, Thomas Eakins, Eastman Johnson, Fitz Henry Lane, Frank Benson, Childe Hassam, and Maurice Prendergast, as well as a significant collection of works by the 20th-century sculptor Louise Nevelson.

The Farnsworth Homestead is a historic house museum at 21 Elm Street in Rockland, Maine. Built in 1854 by William A. Farnsworth, it is an excellent late example of Greek Revival architecture, and was the home of Lucy Farnsworth, the major benefactor of the Farnsworth Art Museum, which owns the house and operates it as a museum property.

Glen Cove is an unincorporated village within the town of Rockport in Knox County, Maine, United States. The community is located on U.S. Route 1 and Clam Cove, an arm of the Penobscot Bay, 2.2 miles (3.5 km) north of Rockland. Glen Cove had a post office until it closed on December 20, 2003.

Founded in 1952, the Center for Maine Contemporary Art (CMCA) is a contemporary arts institution, presenting a year-round program of changing exhibitions featuring the work of emerging and established artists with ties to Maine. In addition, CMCA offers a full range of educational programs for all ages, including gallery talks, performances, film screenings, and hands-on workshops.

The American Lighthouse Foundation (ALF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 1994 with a primary mission of lighthouse preservation. ALF's main office and storefront are headquartered in Rockland, Maine, and the organization currently has thirteen chapters that have stewardship responsibility over the following twenty-two lighthouses in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island:

The Rankin Block is a historic commercial building at 600-610 Main Street in Rockland, Maine. Built in 1853, it is a fine example of a late Greek Revival commercial block. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. It currently houses a senior living facility.

The Rockland Public Library is located at 80 Union Street in central Rockland, Maine. It is located in an architecturally distinguished building, built in 1903–04 with funding support from Andrew Carnegie. The library was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979 for its architecture.

The Main Street Historic District encompasses the historic commercial heart of Rockland, Maine. Located on several blocks of Main Street (United States Route 1), the district has a well-preserved collection of commercial architecture dating from the mid-19th to early 20th centuries, the period of the city's height as a shipbuilding and industrial lime processing center.

The Rockland Residential Historic District encompasses a predominantly residential area west of the downtown of Rockland, Maine. With a history dating to the early 18th century, this area includes high quality examples of residential architecture, most dating to the period 1870-1920, and including several fine examples of municipal architecture.

Rockport is a town in Knox County, Maine, United States. It is 35 miles (56.3 km) southeast of Augusta. The population was 3,644 at the 2020 census. Rockport is a popular tourist destination and art colony.
