The Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Chennai (Russian: Генеральное консульство России в Ченнаи) represents the interests of the Russian government in the southern region of India. Vivekanandar Illam, earlier known as Ice House or Castle Kernan, is a historical building in Chennai, India. It was constructed in 1842 by Frederic Tudor. The Police headquarters building is a heritage building in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. It is located facing the Marina Beach opposite the Queen Mary's College and the lighthouse on the junction of Dr. Radhakrishnan Salai and Kamaraj Salai. It was built in 1839. It houses the director general (DGP) of the Tamil Nadu Police.

Queen Mary's College is a government-run college in Chennai, India. Established in 1914, it is the first women's college in the city and the third oldest women's college in India and second oldest in South India after Sarah Tucker College. The college is located on junction of Kamarajar Salai and Dr.

Marina Beach, or simply the Marina, is a natural urban beach in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, along the Bay of Bengal. The beach runs from near Fort St. George in the north to Foreshore Estate in the south, a distance of 6.0 km (3.7 mi), making it the second longest urban beach in the world, after Cox's Bazar Beach.
