Largest Human Flag of India was an event organised to form the world's largest human national flag in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. It was organised on 7 December 2014 by Rotary International in India with a slogan Rotary My Flag My India. More than 50,000 Indians gathered in YMCA Grounds, Chennai to form the world's largest human national flag.

The opening ceremony of the fifth season of Indian Premier League (IPL) took place on the evening of 3 April 2012 in the YMCA College of Physical Education, Chennai. The ceremony was designed by Wizcraft Entertainment, and began at 19:30 IST, lasting almost two and half hours. The tickets for the ceremony were priced at ₹1,500 (US$19) and were available online at the official website of the IPL from 16 March 2012.

YMCA College of Physical Education, the first college for physical education of Asia, was established in 1920 by Harry Crowe Buck of Pennsylvania, United States. The college is now affiliated with the Tamil Nadu Physical Education and Sports University.

Nandanam is a neighborhood in Chennai, India. It is located on the northern banks of Adyar River, on the other side of Kotturpuram, and is bound by Saidapet, T. Nagar and Teynampet. In addition to a number of institutions and companies, Nandanam offers a calm residential location. It is known for the Nandanam Arts College that was established in 1901 and the Nandanam Junction, commonly referred as "Nandanam signal", on the arterial Anna Salai—one of the busiest traffic junctions in Chennai.
