Marina beach

Vivekanandar Illam, earlier known as Ice House or Castle Kernan, is a historical building in Chennai, India. It was constructed in 1842 by Frederic Tudor. Indian Saint Swami Vivekananda stayed in the building when he visited Chennai in 1897, and it was later renamed in his honor. It is currently maintained by Ramakrishna Math and houses an exhibition on the life of Vivekananda.

Marina Beach, or simply the Marina, is a natural urban beach in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, along the Bay of Bengal. The beach runs from near Fort St. George in the north to Foreshore Estate in the south, a distance of 6.0 km (3.7 mi), making it the second longest urban beach in the world, after Cox's Bazar Beach.

Chepauk is the legislative assembly, that includes the city, Chepauk. Chepauk assembly constituency was part of Chennai Central (Lok Sabha constituency). Post constituency delimitation of 2008, this constituency is merged into the newly formed Chepauk-Thiruvallikeni (State Assembly Constituency).The constituency is famous among people of Tamil Nadu as five time Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Kalaignar Karunanidhi contested thrice and won all three times from this Chepauk Assembly Constituency

Dr. Annie Besant Park is an urban park at Chennai, India. Technically a traffic island, it gained prominence due to its location at the Marina Beach.

The Police headquarters building is a heritage building in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. It is located facing the Marina Beach opposite the Queen Mary's College and the lighthouse on the junction of Dr. Radhakrishnan Salai and Kamaraj Salai. It was built in 1839. It houses the director general (DGP) of the Tamil Nadu Police.

Queen Mary's College is a government-run college in Chennai, India. Founded in 1914, it is the first women's college in the city and the third oldest women's college in India and second oldest in South India after Sarah Tucker College. The college is located on junction of Kamarajar Salai and Dr. Radhakrishnan Salai facing the Marina Beach.

The Hindu Higher Secondary School (HHSS), located on Big Street, Triplicane, Chennai, India, is one of the oldest secondary schools in South India, having been established in 1852. The school was founded at a time when many parents were reluctant to send their children to schools managed and run by the British, in this case, the English East India Company.

The Parthasarathy Temple is a 6th-century Hindu Vaishnavite temple dedicated to Vishnu in Chennai, India. Located in the neighbourhood of Thiruvallikeni, the temple is glorified in the Naalayira Divya Prabandham, the early medieval Tamil literature canon of the Alvar saints from the 6th to 9th centuries CE and is classified as among the 108 Divya Desams dedicated to Vishnu.
