Happy Isles is a group of small isles in the Merced River in Yosemite National Park, California, USA. They are located at the easternmost end of the Yosemite Valley floor. This scenic spot is the starting point for the Mist Trail, and is also the northern trailhead for the John Muir Trail. Happy Isles is also the trailhead for popular hiking destinations along the Mist Trail (including Vernal Falls and Nevada Falls) and Half Dome.

Of the 12 campers/hikers involved in the incident, one was killed.

The top is not accessible by any trail, although rock climbers frequent the peak.

Like its upstream neighbor, Vernal Fall is clearly visible at a distance, from Glacier Point, as well as close up, along the Mist Trail. The waterfall flows all year long, although by the end of summer it is substantially reduced in volume and can split into multiple strands, rather than a single curtain of water.

Les recomiendo que corroboren que el camino corto este abierto cuando vayan de lo contrario tendran que tomar el camino largo y no se me hace apto para personas con sibre peso ni con problemas en las rodillas ni con niños ya que es un camino largo, con pendientes y con rocas, ademas que si es en epoca de verano tienen que ir temprano ya que hay partes de camino sin sombra y se siente fuerte el sol
