Fanling (Chinese: 粉嶺; also spelled Fan Ling or Fan Leng) is a town in the New Territories East of Hong Kong. Administratively, it is part of the North District. Fanling Town is the main settlement of the Fanling area. The name Fanling is a shortened form of Fan Pik Leng (粉壁嶺). The area has several public and private estates.

Cheung Wah Estate (Chinese: 祥華邨) is a mixed TPS and public housing estate in Fanling, New Territories, Hong Kong. It is the first public housing estate in Fanling Town, consisting of ten residential blocks completed from 1984 to 1986. Some of the flats were sold to tenants through Tenants Purchase Scheme Phase 6A in 2004.

Fanling Highway (Chinese: 粉嶺公路) is a part of Route 9 in Hong Kong. It connects the new town of Tai Po and San Tin Highway, passing through Sheung Shui and Fanling on its way. The three lane expressway was constructed between 1983 and 1987.

Fanling Public School (Chinese: 粉嶺公立學校), a government-funded primary school, was founded in 1936. Located in Fanling, North District, New Territories, Hong Kong, it is in Fanling Village (or Fanling Wai) near MTR Fanling station.

Fanling (Chinese: 粉嶺; Cantonese Yale: Fánléhng) is a station on the East Rail line of the Hong Kong MTR. It is next to Fanling Town Centre, and is only a short walk away from Fung Ying Seen Koon, a well-known Taoist temple. The Fanling Highway was built from 1983 to 1987 directly adjacent to the station.

Fung Ying Seen Koon (Chinese: 蓬瀛仙館; Jyutping: fung4 jing4 sin1 gun2) was founded in 1929 as an affiliate of the Quanzhen Longmen Lineage (全真龍門派) of Taoism. FYSK is a superb example of Taoist design and craftsmanship. It was named after the two fairy islands of Fung Lai and Ying Chau of the Bohai Sea.

Ka Fuk Estate (Chinese: 嘉福邨) is a public housing estate in Fanling, New Territories, Hong Kong, near Fanling Highway. It consists of three residential buildings built in 1994.Ka Shing Court (嘉盛苑) is a Home Ownership Scheme court in Fanling, near Ka Fuk Estate. It consists of four residential buildings built in 1995.

Tin Ka Ping Secondary School (Chinese: 田家炳中學) is an English medium (EMI) secondary school located in Fanling, Sheung Shui, Hong Kong, founded in 1994. With subsidy from the government, it provides students with various amenities such as practice rooms for extensive arts, audio-visual equipment and sports facilities.

To Kau Wan (Chinese: 倒扣灣) is a bay on the north shore of northeast Lantau Island, Hong Kong. Contaminated soil from Penny's Bay was transferred here for thermal desorption to separate the Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) and Semi-Volatile Organic Compounds (SVOC) along with cement immobilization of metal contamination from Penny's Bay.

North District (Chinese: 北區) is the northernmost district of the 18 districts of Hong Kong. It is located in the northeastern part of the New Territories. The new town of Fanling–Sheung Shui is within this district. It had a population of 298,657 in 2001. The district has the second lowest population density in Hong Kong.
