The Dragon's Back (Chinese: 龍脊) is a mountain ridge in southeastern Hong Kong Island, Hong Kong that passes through Shek O Peak. It lies within the Shek O Country Park. In 2019, the Dragon's Back Trail was selected by CNN as one of the world's 23 best trails. Dragon's Back is part of Stage 8 of the Hong Kong Trail.

D'Aguilar Peninsula (Chinese: 鶴咀半島) is located in southeastern Hong Kong Island, in the Southern District of Hong Kong. It is named after Major-General Sir George Charles d'Aguilar.Cape D'Aguilar is located in the southeastern part of D'Aguilar Peninsula. It is worth noting that Hok Tsui (Chinese: 鶴咀) actually refers to a different cape to the southwest of the peninsula.

Hong Kong Buddhist Cemetery is a private cemetery located in Cape Collinson, on Hong Kong Island, Hong Kong. It is managed by The Hong Kong Buddhist Association (香港佛教聯合會). The cemetery was completed and opened in 1963.

Tai Tam Gap Correctional Institution (Chinese: 大潭峽懲教所) is a prison in Eastern District, Hong Kong, operated by Hong Kong Correctional Services.The Standard stated that it was in Shek O.It opened on 1 May 1980. At the time, it was a prison for young girls and women. 14 was the minimum age. The prison then closed on 28 May 2008.

Shek O Country Park is a rural marine park located on Shek O, Southern District, Hong Kong and facing the South China Sea. The 701-hectare park opened on 21 September 1979.Urban hiking is extremely popular here, there are three exceptional hiking trails, one of which Time Magazine Asia declared the best urban hiking trail in Asia, the Dragon's Back.
