Gakushūin University (学習院大学, Gakushūin Daigaku) is a private university in Mejiro, Toshima Ward, Tokyo. It was re-established after World War II as an affiliate of the Gakushūin School Corporation. The privatized successor to the original Gakushūin University (or "Peers School") was established during the Meiji period to educate the children of the Japanese nobility.

Jiyu Gakuen School Myonichikan (自由学園明日館), the "House of Tomorrow," is the original building complex of Jiyu Gakuen, designed by American architect Frank Lloyd Wright. Jiyu means 'freedom', and gakuen is 'school'.Arata Endo, working as an assistant for Wright's project constructing the Imperial Hotel, introduced Wright to his acquaintances, husband and wife Yoshikazu and Motoko Hani, who founded Jiyu Gakuen.

Agariyashiki (上り屋敷) is an area in Nishi-Ikebukuro 2-chōme and 3-chōme, Toshima, Tokyo, Japan, mainly along Seibu Ikebukuro Line. This term is commonly used, but has never been used as an official district name.The etymology of Agariyashiki is considered to be the historical fact that its southern area, today officially known as Mejiro, Toshima and Shimo-Ochiai, Shinjuku, was a hunting zone owned by Tokugawa clan and its shōguns came to the present-day Agariyashiki area as a resting place.

The district's name is after Mejiro Fudō, which is one of the Goshiki Fudō.Mejiro is home to the prestigious Gakushuin University. The university's predecessor was established in 1877 to educate the children of the nobility.

Mejiro-no-Mori (目白の森, Mejiro-no-Mori) is a public wooded area in Toshima Ward, Tokyo, Japan. Officially, it is not a public park, but a "forest for the residents of the ward" (区民の森 (Kumin-no-Mori)) as designated by Toshima Ward. It is open throughout the year.

The Myōshōji River (妙正寺川, Myōshōji-gawa) is designated as a Class A river by the Japanese government with a length of 9.7 km and a basin area of 21.4 km².

Tokyo Fuji University (東京富士大学, Tōkyō fuji daigaku) is a private university in Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan. The predecessor of the school was founded in 1943. It was chartered as a junior college in 1951 and became a four-year college in 2002.In 2008 the Department of Psychology was established.
